Miami transit supervisor alleged to have raped incapacitated Ultra attendee
An attendee of Ultra Music Festival, visiting from Brazil, was kidnapped and sexually assaulted after being denied access to Miami’s Metro Mover public transportation system for intoxication, Miami-Dade police say.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30pm on Saturday, March 19, and the accused, Miami Metro Mover supervisor Carl Lee Wilt, 41, is being charged with sexual battery on a physically incapacitated victim and kidnapping. The 25-year-old woman was prohibited access to public transport out of concerns for her own safety due to her intoxicated condition.
A witness tracked down police and expressed concern for the woman after seeing Wilt carrying her, unconscious, into a utility room. Police had to wait five minutes before Wilt opened the door to the room, exiting with his zipper down and the woman still incapacitated on the floor. The woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for further evaluation while Wilt was taken into custody.
According to the police report, he has admitted to having sex with the unconscious woman.
