Oliver Heldens is dutifully consistent. The latest in a series of releases from the Heldeep Records founder, new single “Ghost” is representative of the Dutch icon’s style through and through. Featuring the energetic vocals of RUMORS, Heldens leads listeners into one of his classic basslines, albeit with a little more distortion than usual. Using the vocals in different ways throughout, from layering them over chords in the breakdown and build, to short loops in parts of the drop, Heldens gives the track some complexity yet lets the bass take center stage when it hits.
