Chicago’s Spring Awakening Music Festival locks down venue and finalizes huge lineup
The last few months have been difficult for Chicago music festival Spring Awakening, having been turned away from two separate venues, with the last one cancelling only two months until showtime. Now, however, Spring Awakening has finally announced a new confirmed location and a monster of a lineup.
Officially taking place at Addams/Medill Park for its 5-year anniversary, a great location close to downtown, SAMF will feature two main stages, the “DJ Stage” and the “Electronic Stage,” as well as two “branded” stages, which will feature a total of six different takeovers (one on each stage per night) by a diverse collection of artists. The DJ Stage features a great mixture of trance, big room, and other more mainstream genres with the likes of Above & Beyond, Dillon Francis, Dada Life, Dash Berlin and more. The Electronic Stage is also stacked top to bottom with a wide variety of talent such as Deadmau5, A-Trak, Flux Pavilion, Gesaffelstein (DJ Set), Flying Lotus, Gramatik, Madeon, Rezz, and much more.
As far as the six branded stages go, Spring Awakening continues to deliver with a massive list of themed lineups. Some of the more notable ones include Feed Me (DJ set), Claude VonStroke, Nicole Moudaber, ATB, Cosmic Gate, Maya Jane Coles, Green Velvet, and Alison Wonderland, though every name could be mentioned as notable. Check out the flyer below for the complete lineup and be amazed.
