Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons – Sacred Dance of The Demon (Gorgon City Remix)

As one of the featured artists on the second part of Remixes From The Other Side, Gorgon City inject their sound into “Sacred Dance of the Demon,” from Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons’ 2015 album, Messages From The Other Side. The ambitious 14-track album was co-produced by James Ford, a member of Simian Mobile Disco and producer for Arctic Monkeys and Florence & the Machine, and featured a collection of vocalists and other collaborators from all over the world.

Gorgon City have been sounding subtly more techno and less deep house with their last few releases, which has been working wonderfully for them. Regardless of sub-genre, they are still always on point with their basslines and consistent pumping energy. Their remix of “Sacred Dance of The Demon” is no exception, and with finesse owing to their skill, they respectfully propagate the primal energy and haunting imagery brought on by the chanting vocals.
