The Flavr Blue – Wit It (Original Mix)

Seattle-based electronic trio The Flavr Blue have been building their name steadily since their first release in 2012, thanks in part to the support of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, whose production “White Walls” features lead singer Hollis Wong-Wear as the vocal hook. Their relationship is as strong as ever, as the band recently embarked on the hip-hop duo’s The Unruly Mess I’ve Made Tour as support.

The Flavr Blue’s latest release “Wit It” is smooth and sultry, a polished production laden with catchy hooks. All three band members are featured on vocals, while Sweater Beats, who produced the track, lends his signature touch to the R&B-influenced record as well. The result is irresistibly catchy, and likely to stay on repeat at your next summer house party.

The band explained: “We got connected with Sweater Beats through Red Bull Sound Select, and wrote the song at Forecast Recordings in the Arts District. We’ve been a fan of Sweater Beats’ production for a while now — we definitely clicked in the studio, and we know this collaboration will be the first of many. We wanted to make a song that would go off on a live tip and get people up and moving, and a song that featured all of us in The Flavr Blue on vocals. We’re hella excited to perform it for the first time in Minneapolis opening for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.”
