Lady Gaga is headlining Coachella
Since Beyoncé’s Coachella cancelation last week, speculation has abounded as to who will replace the Lemonade singer as the Saturday headliner for the country’s premier music festival. Today, February 28, Billboard has announced that Lady Gaga has been confirmed to headline both weekends of the festival.
Billboard reports the following:
“Lady Gaga will add the double Coachella slot to her already busy 2017 tour schedule, announced shortly after her critically acclaimed performance at Super Bowl LI in Houston.”
The outlet also notes, “It was important to Coachella organizers that a female performer replace Beyoncé, insiders tells Billboard, making Gaga the first woman to headline Coachella since Björk in 2007.”
Lady Gaga has yet to comment publicly on her addition into the lineup.
