Kraak & Smaak‘s Boogie Angst have enjoyed a grand two years as a label, attracting talents as broad and buoyant as MOODS, SNACKS and Meeka Kates along the way. On the eve of their second anniversary, the label is celebrating with a retrospective remodel compilation, but have snuck in something fresh from Parisian indie dance contemporaries Roman Kouder and Regards Coupables.

True to the tune of the label’s nostalgic and poignantly feel good flavor, ‘Mystery’ is a suitably perky slice of nu-disco cut with warm licks and inoffensive vocal hooks from start to finish. You’d struggle to find a track more in tune with the theme of celebration where Boogie Angst’s roster is concerned, giving fans old and new reason to celebrate and anticipate another fine year of eclectic indie dance exports.
