Flume wins songwriter of the year at APRA awards
Flume wins big at APRA Music Awards
Australian native Flume was awarded Songwriter of the Year at the APRA Music Awards last night. The producer and songwriter is far from shy when it comes to awards with a Grammy under his belt for best Electronic/Dance album and multiple ARIA awards.
Flume took to Twitter to thank fans for his achievements and supporting his creative style of music. Shouting out the APRA awards team, he went on to say he was “humbled and appreciative to be in the company of so many amazing Australian artists.” Flume went on to describe the process behind the music, letting fans know his music is made with a mouse keyboard.
.@APRAAMCOS I was classically trained but now write most of my music with a mouse keyboard, I don’t write with traditional instruments…

Skin, Flume’s sophomore album, is easy to credit for his utmost success. Included on the album are tracks “Say It,” “Helix,” Smoke and Retribution,” and “Never Be Like You,” which would bring home the Dance Work of the Year and Most Played Australian Work APRA awards as well.
