Kygo & Ellie Goulding release ‘First Time’ music video
Kygo has been unstoppable as of late, enchanting the world with his mellowed, tropical-inspired sounds and landing collaborations with some of the biggest pop stars in the market. He commenced the year on a powerful note with Selena Gomez for their hit “It Ain’t Me,” which has since found its way onto radio waves across the world and become firmly planted into the public psyche.
The Norwegian artist’s follow-up single, “First Time,” with Ellie Goulding, features his signature synth work and a sentimental top line, and has naturally received a good deal of praise. Now, the next step in sealing the song’s viral success has been completed: an artful music video is now out for the piece.
In the video version of “First Time,” we see an unconscious Kygo being serenaded by a seemingly mourning Ellie Goulding. It tells an interpretive story with an ultimate message of not getting burnt by one’s past and instead learning to be free. Having already amassed over a million views on YouTube, it appears the accompanying music video is as broadly appealing as the single itself.
