Glenn Morrison’s ‘Dark Waters’ LP explores all variations of house music
Before Glenn Morrison became a top-charting DJ/producer in Canada or went multi-platinum on his single, “Goodbye,” his career was focused on classical music and instrument practice. Having parents who dedicated their careers to dance music, his teenage years began a detailed journey into music and production skill-building. Proper guidance from respected colleagues and nurturing institutions led Morrison to be the success he is today.
This year, Morrison began teasing singles off of his full-length LP, Dark Waters. “Jade Garden” and “Hypnotism” led up to an early October release date that brought forward the full experience. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this new collection of music is the new breath given to a variety of house music sub-genres. Morrison finds a way to bring out a new energy or showcasing an original layer, giving each track a memorable element. Dark Waters LP is a deeper exploration of Morrison’s beloved style.
