Diplo releases a massive remix pack for his ‘California’ EP

From Florida to California, Diplo‘s sound has morphed to fit around today’s top vocalist. The Mad Decent label boss now released an electronic remix package to contrast the subsequently chill California EP. He enlisted the talents of Quix, Keys N Krates, UNKWN, Jarreau Vandal, TWERL, Max Styler, and Tony Romera for reworks.

Quix and UNKWN’s remixes go HARD, giving headbangers a reason to mess with the more pop-leaning producer.

Keys N Krates’ remix stems from their wavy electronic success of an album, Cura, playing with of vocal chops and melodic streams of flowing bass.

Jarreau Vandal brings that vocoder sound one might recognize from the intro of Bruno Mars‘ ’24K Magic.’ TWERL and Max Styler put on a celestial vibe with synths, and Tony Romera gets electro funky.

These rhythm and bass-forward remixes demonstrate a careful execution from the Major Lazer frontman. Now, he has a slew of melodic and heavy atmospheres from his most recent project, adding to his already versatile DJ set. These remixes are a nice cherry on top to the already successful California project from Diplo.
