Manchester’s own experimental trap producers, Duke & Jones, have let go of another heater in “Jurassic.” With a terrestrial, tribal ambiance on the build, the track culminates into cascading synths atop gritty sub bass. This melting sensation on the drop juxtaposes the higher speed anticipation energy to give the hook extra weight — a colossal effect indeed. Listeners quickly succumb to what feels like a chase scene through the Jurassic world.

Bassheads should dive into what Duke & Jones have been creating recently. From official remixes of Zeds Dead & Jauz‘ “Lights Go Down” for Deadbeats to their new Eclipse EP, the duo have been delving into uncharted territory that run-of-the-mill EDM producer wouldn’t think of exploring. Their tracks “Breath” and “Tusk” are also fine examples of this adventurous foray.
