French Horn Rebellion – Soy Bonita
French Horn Rebellion has a kind of finesse that many artists search their whole careers to obtain.
With brothers Robert, former member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, and David Perlick-Molinari, a former producer with MGMT, working together, they have the ability to use their affinity for and experience across genres to make music that is authentic, no matter the sound.
While French Horn Rebellion’s music is rooted in electronica, we know them for bubbly and upbeat nu disco and summery house. But in their latest, “Soy Bonita,” the Brooklyn-based duo has stepped in a new direction of dancehall-inspired music. Featuring Jamaican reggae rap artist Marcy Chin, the track is immediately irresistible, posing deep synths against Chin’s witty vocal. The symbiosis between producers and vocalists are immediate, making “Soy Bonita” something to talk about.
