Brasstracks release their soul-packed EP, ‘For Those Who Know Pt.II’
“For Those Who Know” the soul infused duo, Ivan Jackson (trumpet) and Conor Rayne (drums) of Brasstracks, today comes as a special day. They’ve release their 5-track For Those Who Know Pt.II EP that shimmers as much as it shines. The work gives three new tracks, and flaunts an attractive line-up of new features like Thirdstory and X’avier Omar, along with repeat features from the likes of S’natra and Robert Glasper.
On each track Brasstracks guide the listener through funky trumpet melodies, jazzy pianos, and expert level percussion, which leaves the listener in musical bliss, feeling almost as if they had just left a worship service where people are dancing, singing, and letting themselves be free. This EP oozes style and attention to detail at every turn, and will be in high demand during their last couple tour dates this year.
