Laidback Luke taps Shermanology and Ale Mora for ‘Milkshake (Better Than Yours)’
Dutch electro pioneer Laidback Luke has released a collaborative new single, “Milkshake (Better Than Yours).” On the track, he’s reunited with a duo with whom his history goes back years, Shermanology and rising Costa Rican producer Ale Mora.
“Milkshake (Better Than Yours)” goes after the ubiquitous 2003 Kelis hit, but with Shermanology employing their “Blessed” and “Can’t Stop Me” certified vocals but in a new, refreshing way. The track has an inviting, classic house beat and showcases Luke’s archival knowledge of electro is something to be reckoned with as he sets off piercing synths hat could easily be messy and overbearing, though in Laidback’s hands are executed flawlessly.
