Mark Ronson celebrates Michael Jackson’s 60th with ‘Diamonds Are Invincible’ medley mix

Mark Ronson has released a five-minute mini-mix of Michael Jackson‘s most iconic dance floor smashes titled ‘”Diamonds Are Invincible,” celebrating what would have been the King of Pop’s 60th birthday. The project is a direct collaboration with Jackson’s estate, and features multiple hits including “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”, “The Way You Make Me Feel,” and “Billie Jean.” The super producer’s contribution is just a piece of the celebration taking place August 29. Festivities include a special performance of the “Michael Jackson ONE Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas, followed by a bash at Daylight Beach Club. Appearances from Jackson’s children Paris and Prince, as well as brothers Jackie and Tito and a surefire grip of celebrity guests are expected.

Ronson is no stranger to pop royalty, as the architect of hit records for artists from Adele to Bruno Mars – but the task of tributing Jackson’s unparalleled legacy was still a daunting task for the Silk City producer. In a statement, the seasoned hit maker explained his mindset when undertaking the project. According to Ronson,

“It was such an amazing, awe-inspiring and insanely intimidating task to put this together, although you’d need hours and hours to fit all of Michael’s classic tunes into one track. I wanted this to feel like being on the dance floor at a sweaty, wild NYC club getting down to as much MJ as possible in five minutes. And I can’t wait for you to all hear the extended version coming soon.”
