Michael Jackson’s 60th brings partnership announcements with IMAX and Hugo Boss

Michael Jackson‘s 60th birthday brought about a number of celebratory tributes and homages to the late King of Pop. The Michael Jackson estate announced a partnership with IMAX to remaster Michael Jackson’s Thriller 3D into IMAX 3D which will be released across the U.S. for one week, beginning September 21.

Jackson loved evolving his show with technology to give fans of his the best entertainment experience possible. The original 14-minute short film premiered in Los Angeles in 1983, while the 3D version was revealed during the 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017.

In other, connected Jackson tribute news, Hugo Boss announced the reissuing the iconic suit worn on the cover of Jackson’s seminal album, Thriller. The original design was created by the fashion conglomerate in 1982, consisting of a sleek white jacket and slim suite pants to match. Only 100 are being made, setting buyers back a cool $1,195. It was also announced on New Music Express that the Jackson estate is earning more than Michael Jackson did when he was alive.
