Silk City continues stellar single releases with ‘Loud’ ft GoldLink & Desiigner
Mark Ronson and Diplo sure know how to maintain momentum. As Silk City, they’ve pooled their immense combined experience in the music industry as a duo with a live performance first at New York City’s Governor’s Ball. They nearly immediately followed their debut with multiple single releases, including collaborations with Daniel Merriweather, Maipei, Florence Welch, Dua Lipa, and now a new hot take with just-as-hot R&B and hip-hop artists GoldLink and Desiigner on a track entitled “Loud.”
Debuted as Zane Lowe‘s Hottest Record in the World, “Loud” takes on a deeper persona than the duo’s past two tracks, invoking UK house-inspired beats and playful, inviting performances from its collaborators. GoldLink and Desiigner’s differing hip-hop flows play off one another and off of the production, expertly making “Loud” feel seamless and purely infectious. The video paired with the release also invites getting loose to the track, as an ’80s aesthetic takes over.
