Swedish House Mafia manager Amy Thompson resigns
She came, she managed, she raved more than just a little bit, and from the tenor of her recent Instagram post, Swedish House Mafia‘s manager Amy Thompson certainly loved the 14 years that she spent alongside the supergroup.
Although a Swedish House Mafia extended comeback appears imminent in 2019, Thompson will not reconvene with Angello, Ingrosso, and Axwell. “I guess now is the time to say that in May this year I told the boys I would be leaving at the end of summer 2018,” Thompson wrote in an informatory Instagram post. “In this industry people expect you to stay in projects that make you powerful…It was a big decision after 14 years but one I made for myself,” Thompson adds. “I wish them so much joy and happiness and success and I will be watching proudly.”
For Thompson, “The future belongs to a new set of people around [SHM],” as the triple-threat trio looks to 2019 as the year of a pivotal re-up, not just for dance music, but for pop culture.
