Lost Lands confirms death of two attendees

Lost Lands Music Festival has confirmed the death of two attendees in a post newly published to Lost Lands’ Facebook page. “Today we send our deepest thoughts and condolences to the loved ones of two male attendees who passed away after being transported to local hospitals this weekend,” festival organizers wrote. “While the causes of these tragedies are still unknown, our hearts are with their families and friends at this time.” The post went on to acknowledge the festival’s 24-hour medical facilities, free of charge to all ticket holders, and equipped with “the best emergency room doctors, EMTs, and roaming paramedics in the country.”

Lost Lands’ statement follows rumors that the second year of the festival was the site of multiple overdoses and deaths during its 2018 return to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. Although speculation across social media platforms alleges that the death count is as high as nine people, Lost Lands has currently only confirmed the passing of two of its attendees.

Dancing Astronaut will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
