Trent Reznor to score new HBO ‘Watchmen’ series
Nine Inch Nails collaborators Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are set to score Damon Lindelof’s forthcoming Watchmen series on HBO.
The show, like the graphic novel, will be set on an alternate Earth with its own dark, twisted history, where “superheroes are outlawed.” Very few other details have been shared surrounding the storyline, other than the fact that the show promises a “remixed” version of the novel and features a cast of Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, and others.
Watchmen isn’t Reznor and Ross’ first scoring project either. Their score for The Social Network earned an Academy Award in 2011, and they’ve recently composed music for Trey Edward Shults’s Waves (It Comes At Night, Krisha), and Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid 90’s out October 19 via A24.
