Toronto based thook released his Natural Instincts EP off ƱZ‘s Quality Goods Records. The label boss of course had to jump in for a wicked collaboration off the EP, “Heat.” Amongst a backdrop of Arabian melodies, horns subtly enter, proceeding to an abrupt anticipation build that falls into sweeping synths, tickling percussion, and big 808 subs. The second drop comes with a whole new stink on the sub bass that’s chaotic in the best of ways. “Heat” fits well in with the rest of the Natural Instincts, which is filled with distorted, percussive-heavy sounds and features moments of hip-hop, trap, Middle-Eastern melodies, and future bass.

Thook is a top addition to the upfront Quality Goods Records, garnishing support from artists like Baauer, QUIX, and RL Grime. He has past releases on Saturate, Jadu Dala, and Daruma. Grab a copy of the EP here.
