Anna Lunoe shines light on the scene’s latest club stompers with new HYPERHOUSE Livestream series

The “High-heel Killer,” the “Midnight Thriller,” Aussie on the up-and-up, Anna Lunoe has just launched her very own live mix series dedicated to her longstanding brand of rambunctious, club-hailing dance music, HYPERHOUSE–the moniker under which Lunoe thoroughly toured the US in 2015-16.

Lunoe wields the hour-long mix to shed light on recent releases she finds particularly experimental and emblematic of “club culture,” a mission complemented by the slightly outlandish ’90s club footage projected on the green screen behind her. HYPERHOUSE Livestream 001 casts a wandering, nuanced net, within which the “Stomper” specialist pays homage to her deep-seated OWSLA digs, tossing Skrillex and JOYRYDE‘s anything but low-key latest, “Agen Wida,” in rotation. Lo-fi, garage-y, off-the-wall leanings run rampant, as Lunoe unloads on listeners with new material from Walker & Royce, Duke Dumont, and of course a bit of her own catalog, including her quirked-out dancefloor demonstration from this past summer featuring Born Dirty, “Badass.”

HYPERHOUSE met its making through Lunoe’s longtime hot seat on Beats 1, wherein she brought two hours of the most “exciting and inspiring” new music on the dance front under the microscope each week. Lunoe and team are uncorking a HYPERHOUSE mini-tour through the end of November, making stops in Brooklyn, LA, and Las Vegas, each fully loaded with a mystery special guest.
