Mariah Carey surprises with second Skrillex collaboration on album pre-order
The long wait for a new Skrillex era is still in full effect, but the producer has certainly left a consistent trail of collaborations and pop dabblings to keep things interesting. With this month already seeing two crisp vocal-collaborations from the OWSLA boss–”Due West” with Kelsey Lu and the gorgeous “Connect” with Elohim–the latest addition to Skrillex’s mainstream repertoire is none other than Mariah Carey.
The songstresses’ upcoming album Caution was already confirmed to include a Skrillex production credit on a track called “The Distance,” and now Carey has revealed a second surprise collaboration with the producer titled “RUNWAY.” The only catch: The song is available on singer’s Japanese album pre-order. Chances are the internet will surface the song for curious stateside listeners soon. As long as the long-awaited Skrillex LP stays unreleased, the legend’s left-field pairings will have to serve as temporary relief.
Japanese lambs! I have a special bonus track for you, RUNWAY, only available on the Japanese edition of my new album #Caution ⚠️ it’s another collaboration with the amazing @Skrillex and I hope you like it 😊 Pre-order now @ https://t.co/nrJwY485nX https://t.co/ueqLC15MEy
