Elohim makes her OWSLA debut, dropping a new track co-produced by Skrillex, “Connect,” with an accompanying music video. Combining Elohim’s emotive vocals with Skrillex’s signature vocal chop melodies and sharp drum production, “Connect” creates an uplifting atmosphere, lined by shimmering notes and warm harmonies. The LA-based singer/songwriter’s voice has an authentic feel and defined crispness that contrasts nicely with the OWSLA label head’s purposeful production style and vocoded accents. The music video is a perfect aesthetic fit to Elohim’s newest feel-good bop too.

Since releasing her self-titled debut album this year, Elohim has made major strides in 2018, building her catalog with collaborations alongside some of the most in-demand artists of the moment. She was featured on Louis The Child‘s Kids At Play EP; dipped into alternative rock with a feature on AWOLNATION‘s new single, “Table For One;” and REZZ remixed her and the Glitch Mob‘s “I Could Be Anything” from the group’s See Without Eyes Deluxe album. With her breakout year culminating in a new Skrillex co-sign, OWSLA could prove to be a fitting home for the emerging vocalist in 2019.
