Rumored Woodstock 50th anniversary lineup includes Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, and more

The 50th anniversary of the seminal Woodstock Music and Art Fair has caused quite the stir in the rumor mill. After Michael Lang, one of the co-creators of Woodstock, told the Poughkeepsie Journal that “we have definite plans,” music fans across all genres have been spinning for details.

Known leak account Festive Owl got their hands on a deck that is proposing a separate event from the one mentioned by Lang. It’s called “Journey On” and was pitched sometime in the spring of 2018. The images list artists approached, including Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Chance The Rapper, Logic, The Weeknd, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Kesha, Neil Young, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Phish, The Who, Santana, and many more artists pitched, looking to create a pan-generational lineup celebrating one of the most historic music festivals.

The event that brought more than 400,000 people to Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains in August of 1969 featured music icons such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Grateful Dead, Santana, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Janis Joplin, and many more. It makes sense that this nexus for the larger counterculture generation could organize one of the most highly anticipated lineups of next year.

Although nothing is finalized, these images add to the stirring rumor mill with a music festival plan that has not yet seen the light of day.
