W&W try their hand at remixing Steve Aoki and BTS’ ‘Waste It On Me’

Arguably Steve Aoki‘s biggest collaboration of the year, “Waste It On Me” featuring Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS surpassed 100 million streams within just one month of being released, and the music video featured celebrities ranging from Ross Butler to Ken Jeong. “Waste It On Me” is getting the remix treatment by the likes of Slushii, Cheat Codes, and now W&W as the song continues to be a global fixture.

W&W‘s rendition of the song still opens with the drippy and smooth vocals from the BTS members, but pulsing big room synths drown out the vocals as the drop approaches. The big-room sound then makes way for a fun collection of sounds, synthesized vocals, and electro chords layered over top. As the song progresses, piercing notes take the track a completely new direction. The only unifying factor of the remix is that the listener can be sure that they will not be able to predict what is coming next.

The remix is out now via Ultra Records.
