Gab Rhome launches his own record label, Rendez-vous, with ‘Changing Lanes’ EP [Premiere]

Canada is known for its strong collection of off-kilter, yet immensely talented artists, the likes of which include Clarian, Orphx, Tiga, and more. Gab Rhome is one of the new generation of rising talents, settling firmly in the melodic realm where he’s already become somewhat of an icon. Having clocked in releases on a myriad of labels including Anjunadeep, Sol Selectas, and All Day I Dream, the time has come for him to chart his own path via his freshly launched Rendez-vous imprint.

To kick off the label launch, Rhome has provided a luscious two-piece EP titled Changing Lanes, and we’ve gotten a hold of its B-side to premiere. As expected, the composition is nuanced class. It errs on the tougher side of Gab’s sonic spectrum, but is nicely balanced nonetheless. He greets listeners with metallic synth stabs, which serve as the track’s central driving force. When paired with its tribal vocal and percussive elements and careful build, we’re given an energized number that will surely be a nice peaktime addition to the artist’s repertoire.
