Valentino Khan remixes Tchami’s ‘Rainforest’
Valentino Khan has delivered a heady take on Tchami‘s “Rainforest.” Maintaining the future house foundation of the original, Khan opts for a darker, heads-down take. The original’s vocals, which play a larger role in this rendition are doused in shadowy effects as they glide through layers of white noise and hollow synths that have replaced the 8-bit-inspired ones that comprised “Rainforest’s” central melody. These changes don’t veer too far off from the original, yet do enough to make a standout new single while showcasing Khan’s distinctive aesthetic.
Prior to remixing Tchami, the artist enjoyed an extended stint on Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint via his last EP House Party and the high-charged “Flip The Switch” alongside Chris Lorenzo. Meanwhile, Tchami made headlines for co-writing the soundtrack to Lady Gaga’s new makeup line.
