Stream Lane 8’s latest progressive offering, ‘The Gift’

Canada’s perpetual deep/progressive house partisan, Lane 8 continues to shine fragments from Brightest Lights, his impending album to arrive January 10, 2020. The fourth of these, full of gusto, arrives as “The Gift.”

Known for his delicate chord progressions and lightweight dance beats, Lane 8’s recent catalog has been packing a progressive punch. Indeed, the road to Brightest Lights has been paved with driving energy alongside his cornerstone immaculate melodies. “The Gift” takes on an otherworldly quality in its momentous crescendoes and fervent arpeggiated synth lines.

While “Sunday Song” and Brightest Lights‘ title track—abetted by the This Never Happened boss’ serial counterpart, POLIÇA—sing Lane 8’s typically deep, light-footed stylings, “Don’t Let Me Go” follows “The Gift’s” earnest, almost Prydz-like earmark.

Lane 8 is planning to trek the course of North America this winter, then Europe this spring, for his upcoming album tour. More information is available here.
