A Pretty Lights studio sighting spurs hope for new music underway

Pretty Lights‘ last release was the effervescent “Rainbows & Waterfalls” single in 2017. His last performance was a special 10th anniversary celebration at the prestigious Red Rocks Amphitheater in August of 2018 with his live band. However, the Color Map of the Sun electro-funk trendsetter was seen on social media in a recording studio, illuminating hopes of potential new material from Derek Smith’s legendary electronic project. Although it’s too early to speculate, it’s nice to see the beloved dance music icon in what looks like some of the comfiest shoes on the planet. He’s pictured in a studio with his younger brother Motifv from the Chicagoan Jahn Hooks of Illuminati Congo’s Instagram.

As wishful thinking fills the air, its the perfect time to reminisce on Pretty Lights’ 2018 Red Rocks back-to-back performances on August 10 and 11. The two and a half hour sets are perfect listening to add a stretch of bliss to your work day, a dash of cool to your next party, or just some simple reminiscing for a Pretty Lights comeback sometime soon.
