Gryffin shares ‘You Were Loved’ alongside OneRepublic, announces Red Rocks show
Gryffin has been mysteriously quiet in 2022. Just after his performance at EDC in October of 2021, he released his highly-anticipated collaboration with Jason Ross, “After You” with Calle Lehman. Little did we realize that would be the last original work from Gryffin in nearly six months. Save the revival of his Flight Log mix series, it has been radio silence from the multi-instrumentalist, even on social media. That is until March 21 when he posted what could only be artwork for a new project, emblazoned with the words “You Were Loved.” The post also included a head-turning tag; Ryan Tedder‘s pop-rock outfit OneRepublic.
Soon after, the collaborative new cut officially sees the light of day. “You Were Loved” features quintessential Gryffin sound backing Tedder’s iconic vocals and, as we’ve come to expect from the Gravity producer, masterfully, seamlessly blurs the divisions between dance and pop. It’s a track fitting for a return, but Gryffin wasn’t done yet.
In the week leading up to the release of “You Were Loved,” Gryffin teased, “one of the most exciting announcements of my career” along with a video of one of the most iconic dance music meccas in the US, Red Rocks Amphitheater. For the first time in three years, Gryffin will be bringing a brand new live show to the stage. It will also be his first headlining performance at the historic venue in the Morrison, Colorado hills where he will be bringing along Joel Corry, Surf Mesa, and Dot in support.
Tickets for the Red Rocks show on October 21, 2022 go on sale Monday, April 4. Listen to Gryffin and One Republic’s “You Were Loved” below.
