Good Morning Mix: Start your day with Jayda G’s aced Boiler Room 2017 set
Canadian-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Jayda G released the first taste from her Both Of Us / Are U Down EP slated for arrival July 3 through Ninja Tune. To tease the project, the Significant Changes producer released three versions of the “Both Of Us” track alongside an official music video.
This queen on disco-house has used “Both Of Us” in past sets as the full track is finally seeing the light of day. With a catchy piano melody, dissident ad libs, and tight percussion play this infectious disco house track slides into a crispy cool aura of relaxation and appreciation of the vocal melody before diving back into that groovy piano melody for a more upbeat, energetic touch. Another nod to the songwriting can be heard in the slowed down bridge, to give a completely different feel before picking the listener back up to the original hook.
To add to her robust resume, Jayda G also has her Master’s Degree in Resource and Environmental Management studying environmental toxicology, specifically on killer whales.
