Sofi Tukker brings the house heat in rework of Dillon Francis and BabyJake’s ‘You Do You’
Together, Dillon Francis and BabyJake have tackled 2020 with two collaborative singles, “You Do You” and “Touch.” Since the start of the decade, Francis and BabyJake’s collaborative efforts have seen the duo master the art of creating catchy pop singles with dance music appeal.
Two months after the official music video for “You Do You” arrived, Sofi Tukker has remixed the track, placing a quirky spin on the original. On Tukker’s take, a pulsing house backdrop is infused with a bongo-like drum line. BabyJake’s vocals, which have been synthesized and featured as pulsing touchpoints throughout the production-focused remix, are juxtaposed with cascading electronic guitar riffs. Sofi Tukker’s take on the track is transformative, yet preserves the catchiest elements of the originals. Tukker’s remix of “You Do You” is out now via IDGAFOS/Mad Decent.
