Disclosure share third studio LP, ‘ENERGY’ [Stream]

After five years, the wait for a new Disclosure LP is finally over. ENERGY comes in with 11 songs with a stacked feature list starring the likes of Mick Jenkins, Channel Tres, Kelis, Fatoumata Diawara, Common, and more. Side two of ENERGY‘s deluxe edition includes the Lawrence brothers’ previously released Ecstasy EP, their Khalid collaborations, and two new remixes of “Birthday” featuring Kehlani & Syd.

In a press conference, Guy and Howard Lawrence said they wrote around 200 songs in the process of producing ENERGY. While it might sound like overkill, the brothers said they intended to write so many tracks from the start so they could distill the album down to only their favorites.

In addition to the star power provided by Aminé, slowthai, and Kehlani (to name just a few), ENERGY features a multilingual scat performance from Cameroonian Blick Bassy, as well as two instrumental interludes.

Along with the LP, Disclosure have shared their 2021 club tour schedule, which opens January 15 in Switzerland and ends March 13 in London. Additionally, ENERGY‘s release marks the beginning of Disclosure’s Minecraft experience meant to accompany the album.
