WHIPPED CREAM releases heavy new single, ‘IDFC,’ from upcoming debut EP
WHIPPED CREAM has already had a wild 2020, releasing music on the Birds of Prey soundtrack, sharing a collaboration with Jasiah, “DUMB SH!T,” and unleashing her Lil Keed feature, “I Do The Most,” which received a massive remix album featuring Pixel Terror, BIJOU, and Knock2, among others. Now, the queen of bass is back with a single from her forthcoming debut EP, a raunchy hip-hop/trap number, “IDFC.”
A collaboration with Perto, “IDFC” is WHIPPED CREAM’s latest dive into aggressive trap. Distorted 808s mesh with heavily altered, high-pitched vocals from Ravenna Golden, creating a unique juxtaposition that is absolutely irresistible. Speaking on the creation of the track, Perto said,
“Caroline and I linked when she came to Sydney for some shows and we ended up hanging out for days – in the studio, grabbing meals, we even went to the zoo with Rico [Nasty]. Ravenna and I had started ‘IDFC’ last year, but it sat on my computer for months. I played it to Caroline one of the days and she really fucked with it. We went in on the production and turned it into a whole new record.”
The jury has voted and the verdict is in: it’s definitely a must-listen. Stream “IDFC” below.
