Gareth Emery shares acoustic album ‘The Lasers (Unplugged)’

Back in July, Gareth Emery released his fourth studio album The Lasers, designating it as his most personal body of work to date. That body of work gets a bit more personal as the Southampton DJ unveils The Lasers (Unplugged) acoustic version of the LP, revisiting all nine songs fully unplugged. Speaking on his new unplugged album, Emery states,

“This is one for the chilled out Sunday afternoon vibes. One for 2020 when clubs are closed and festivals are cancelled. I’m really proud of how these stripped back versions have turned out. In some ways, the power and message of the songs comes through a lot more.”

The Lasers (Unplugged) subsides from Gareth’s commonly adorned anthemic club tracks as the acoustic revisions feature elegantly arranged piano melodies and melancholic strings, paving a singular experience for listeners. As Laserface is postponed until further notice, Emery previously invited fans to tune into his own hosted pay-per-view livestream concert which featured an all-star lineup of trance vocalist such as Emma Hewitt, HALIENE, and Christina Novelli.
