Good Morning Mix: Conjure RL Grime’s action packed ‘Halloween VI’ mix from 2017
No-holds-barred as Dancing Astronaut revisits the sixth installment of RL Grime‘s “Halloween” mix series.
The sixth installment in the series, released in 2017, has been championed as one of Grime’s best-crafted pieces in the “Halloween” collection. Spanning cameos from none other than professional skater Tony Hawk, voice actor Jake Houshee, and Goosebumps author RL Stine, “Halloween VI” served as the precursor to Grime’s sophomore album NOVA. In spite of listeners’ collective belief that Grime would use the sixth mix as a platform to primarily debut new music from his forthcoming album, the mix coheres mainstream hip-hop and trap, resulting in a mashup-infused compilation that appeals to multiple genre demographics with Rae Sremmurd, Eprom, Post Malone, DROELOE, and more on the tracklist.
This flashback to “Halloween VI” marks the sixth installment in Dancing Astronaut‘s RL Grime Good Morning Mix series, which will take listeners through each “Halloween” installment for the eight consecutive days leading up to the arrival of “Halloween IX” on October 29.
