Stream deadmau5’s first hau5trap original, ‘Nextra’

After breaking hau5trap ground with Tommy Trash and Daisy Guttridge’s “hiiigh” in early March, deadmau5 is sheparding “Nextra,” the imprint’s second single, to streaming platforms. Highlighting deadmau5’s versatility, “Nextra” is notably the label head’s first hau5trap original.
The single features deadmau5’s signature synthwork and a soft house beat that floats through the track. Sitting at six minutes, the song begins to break down around halfway through, its beats bubbling beneath the surface. The first half of “Nextra” features quiet techno beats while the second half has a softer, slightly more wonky feel. Stream hau5trap’s sophomore release below.
