Ry Hill gives Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ a spry drum ‘n’ bass recasting [Stream]
Justin Bieber is a name inescapable in the press lately, following the international icon’s recent release of his long-awaited sixth studio album Justice. Packed to the brim with pop masterpieces, Justice attracted an array of acclaimed electronic music producers such as Skrillex, TroyBoi, and Virtual Riot, who nabbed credits on a few choice tracklistings. Further solidifying the notion that Bieber and dance music are meant to be mixed, rising producer Ry Hill has released an animated drum ‘n’ bass remix of the Justice fan favorite, “Peaches.”
Hill retains Bieber’s tantalizing vocals in his “Peaches” rework but speeds up the tempo to one more appropriate of the drum ‘n’ bass genre without overly applying vocal effects in the process. A silky smooth drum beat complements the vocal chorus, before giving way to an airy, soothing drop that boasts impeccably timed vocal chops and a warm bassline. Ry Hill asserts himself as an upcoming artist to watch with this creative Bieber flip.
