Proximity announces all-women Alaya festival featuring RUNN, Anna Lunoe, and more
On March 28, the women-led Alaya music festival will provide electronic music enthusiasts with a digital show that not only features some of their favorite dance acts, but also provides a pathway to support efforts to further women’s education. Hosted by Proximity, Alaya will host performances from a wide range of female creatives including Anabel Englund, Sofi Tukker, Anna Lunoe, CRAY, Qrion (one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2021), and RUNN, our February Supernova.
Throughout Alaya, which will broadcast live from Proximity’s Twitch channel at 3:00 p.m. EST / 12:00 p.m. PST, viewers will have the opportunity to donate to the Malala Fund, a nonprofit organization that promotes educational equality by ensuing that girls have an opportunity to go to school. The Malala Fund primarily serves regions where the most girls miss out on secondary education. Its priority countries span Afghanistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
