Good Morning Mix: BRONSON share impressive 43-track Essential Mix debut

BRONSON‘s self-titled debut album was one of the most compelling storylines in dance music last year. The creative union of ODESZA and Golden Features has proven to be a fruitful endeavor, spawning a 10-track LP and a series of three remix packages to follow. Now, the trio are set for another major milestone with the premiere of their first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix—and unsurprisingly, BRONSON delivers a near flawless two-hour session loaded with gems.

Capping out at 43 tracks, BRONSON’s introductory Essential Mix spans a wide variety of sounds, and features cuts from a colorful cast of producers and DJs. The tracklist includes contributions from M83, Camelphat, The Prodigy, Virgil Abloh, Machinedrum, Jamie xx, The Chemical Brothers, and many more, all of course laced together with standout tracks from BRONSON themselves. Selects from DJ Seinfeld rub shoulders with tracks from Bicep, while Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs complement sounds by DJ Koze and NERO‘s Joseph Ray. The mix perfectly encapsulates BRONSON’s sound over two hours with an undeniable repeat appeal, highlighting the project’s early success while alluding to future material hopefully underway.
