Martin Garrix, Matisse & Sadko hand-pick five deserving names to rework ‘Won’t Let You Go’ with John Martin
Based on Martin Garrix’s newest Instagram story, there already seems to be another reunion with Matisse & Sadko in the works, but not before they revisit their seventh official meeting from Dancing Astronaut’s top tracks of 2021. Garrix and Matisse & Sadko wanted to take a different route in deciding who could take a shot at reimagining “Won’t Let You Go” with John Martin, launching a remix competition through STMPD RCRDS. And ahead of both the trio and label’s return to Miami for Ultra’s Bayfront Park homecoming, they’ve hand-picked five deserving winners for an official release on STMPD RCRDS.
After sorting through hundreds upon hundreds of contest entries, Garrix and Matisse & Sadko landed on Eleganto, Exbow, MAZAN, Gabriel Kirsh, and Jack & James as the five standout names that were able to admirably put their own house spin on the progressive house gem and John Martin’s flawless vocals, potentially laying the foundation to securing their own original on STMPD RCRDS sometime down the road.
