Teddy Beats, Matthew Rapp leave listeners ‘Floating’ with new chill/pop single
Washington, DC native Teddy Beats and Lucky Coin lead vocalist Matthew Rapp have aligned for a new chill/pop collaboration, “Floating,” which follows Teddy Beats’ recent remix of Eklo‘s “You Need Love.”
“Floating” is driven by Rapps’ rich vocals, which lead to a powerful drum and synth breakdowns. Acoustic guitar enters in the second half of the track, pairing exceptionally with the song’s more electronically driven elements. Throughout his discography, Teddy Beats has proven to be more than fluent in both the tropical-house and chill/pop genres. The variety of his releases is not only impressive, but also shows that he can adapt to any idea thrown his way. On “Floating,” though, he’s right at home in his wheelhouse.
