Martin Garrix details how ‘Sentio’ came together in newest ‘The Martin Garrix show’ episode

A lot has happened in the world of Martin Garrix in the past month. For those that haven’t been following along whatsoever, Garrix set out on the road to his debut album a week following Ultra, delivering biweekly Sentio singles all the way until April 29 when the tracklist to his first album under his own name was completed. A little less than two months after his last “The Martin Garrix Show” episode, the STMPD RCRDS head resumed his docuseries’ fifth season with a look back at how one of the year’s most impressive albums thus far came together so quickly.

In the 32-minute third episode of the newest “The Martin Garrix Show” installment, Garrix explains that he decided amid the pandemic to rebuild his live show from the ground up for the onset of festival season—beginning with both Lollapalooza Chile and Ultra—with new visuals, lights, and production. Garrix gives inside looks at how “Quantum” with Brooks only took two weeks, a whiteboard of all the IDs he was planning to finish, the making of “Limitless” with Mesto, working with Gabe Fabroni on designing the new production, flying Shaun Farrugia out to Amsterdam to work on “If We’ll Ever Be Remembered” and “Starlight,” working with Blinders on two songs, and how the team created visuals for every Garrix song so he had his entire discography at his fingertips.
