Dylan Matthew, Nitti Gritti debut on Monstercat with ‘Drive You Crazy’

“Malibu, the beach, summer love, nostalgia, and California.” Dylan Matthew and Nitti Gritti‘s debut collaboration, “Drive You Crazy” is a sandy, sun-kissed cocktail of summer and West Coast influence intended to soundtrack hands-in-the-air drives in a topless Jeep, the ocean’s rush toward one’s toes, and everything in between. Vocal-centric and ruggedly textured with pop-punk guitar chords, “Drive You Crazy” has a warm, easygoing personality that stands in stark contrast to some of Nitti Gritti’s brasher dance/electronic works. The Dancing Astronaut Supernova and SIDEPIECE constituent translate this character to a visual accompaniment that casts Matthew as the driver of an ice cream truck. Viewers can see how the narrative unfolds below, in an extension of “Drive You Crazy” that sees both artists find their musical middle ground with ease.
