Brooks, Vluarr, and Jay Mason deliver one of STMPD RCRDS’ most-requested IDs, ‘Sober’

Brooks and Vluarr share two things in common this year: they both matched up with the STMPD RCRDS boss on the Sentio tracklist and they both appeared as one-half of a back-to-back pairing during the label’s Tomorrowland stage takeover. And we might as well put it in writing that they’ve both been riding a hot streak, each delivering five and six respective releases thus far in 2022. And Brooks and Vluarr are now coming together for the first time, adding in Jay Mason—who just appeared on Trivecta‘s album—for their debut STMPD RCRDS collaboration, “Sober.”

Rinsed not once, not twice, but three different times during STMPD RCRDS’ The Library hosting duties during Tomorrowland’s third and final weekend, “Sober” meets two rousing styles from two of the label’s most imaginative names directly in the middle. Backed by Mason’s charged topline, “Sober” is a sound design enthusiast’s dream, dropping a one-two punch of five-star future house from Brooks and Vluarr that makes for one of STMPD RCRDS most laudable non-Sentio releases of the year.
