Jerro, Lyrah convert Foundations Tour ID into This Never Happened original, ‘Give It Up’

When Jerro brought his Foundations Tour to Brooklyn towards the end of February, he brought a pair of IDs along with him to put the finishing touches on an unforgettable two-hour set. The first of which he explained that he had just signed to This Never Happened. No one was reasonably expecting it to make an immediate release turnaround, but surely enough when Lane 8 rang in the spring season early with his second mixtape delivery of the new year, that same ID had been located. And Jerro revealed the same day that his collaboration alongside Lyrah would trade its ID4 placeholder for “Give It Up” just over a week later.

Jerro had already found himself on This Never Happened once in 2023, opening his schedule with Le Youth and Lizzy Land on a track worthy of being part of the the year’s best-of conversation. Fast forward about a month and a half later, and the Belgian native is doubling down on that release quality. “Give It Up” only held a short-lived unreleased status following both the Foundations Tour and the “Spring 2023 Mixtape”—also making a stop at EDC Mexico along the way—but Jerro and Lyrah were well aware that the sublime synergy of melodic house they’d spawned together couldn’t sit in the ID vault for too long. Thankfully for us, that’s exactly what happened and “Give It Up” can now be streamed below.
