Four Tet reworks Chris Lake, Aatig’s ‘In The Yuma’
Just a few hundred yards away from the famed house and techno tent, Four Tet first premiered a lively remix of Chris Lake and Aatig‘s “In The Yuma” during a historic set to close out Coachella‘s second weekend this year. While not inside the Yuma tent itself, Four Tet’s punchy remix electrified the tens of thousands circling the Coachella main stage alongside Fred again.. and Skrillex. Introduced to Four Tet’s alias–KH–back in November of 2022, Chris Lake first began the remix treatment with his heavy, thrilling spin on “Looking at Your Pager”. Less than a year later and out now on the duo of Astralwerks and Black Book Records, Four Tet has returned the favor via “In The Yuma”.
Kieran Hebden, otherwise known as Four Tet, has rallied the dance music community between Taylor Swift pop anthems, “Country Riddim”, and now his remix of “In The Yuma”. Bringing the piano instrument to the forefront of the single, Four Tet shows both experience and imagination for his adaptation of the popular tech-house original. By chopping up Aatig’s vocals and adding new drum layers, “In The Yuma” has received a new mix designed for the club. Stream Four Tet’s remix below.
