DIESEL gets destructive with Crankdat for ‘HEAT’ on Monstercat

Swiftly following up “BANG YOUR HEAD”—the first single on his upcoming album on MonstercatShaq aka DJ DIESEL has returned with the second single “HEAT.” Jumping into action with DIESEL’s raucous vocals, “HEAT” is a terror of a track, merging the sounds of DIESEL and Crankdat into an uproarious cacophony of dubstep chaos. Setting the tone for the rest of the album, “HEAT” whips crowds and listeners into a frenzy as only a DIESEL track can, and with the standard now set the upcoming album will deliver countless dubstep anthems that will stand the test of time for years to come.

Speaking on “HEAT,” Diesel gave insight into working with Crankdat and how the track came into being, saying,

“Christian is one of those artists that make your head turn every time you hear their music. The man is a monster in the studio and I have learned a lot from him. Working together on ‘HEAT’ was special. Releasing our record as a single and on my album with Monstercat just made sense and we’re pumped to finally get it out in the world.”

Crankdat and Shaq have been friends since the basketball superstar entered the bass scene as DJ Diesel, with a friendship that dates back nearly five years. Crankdat has played a pivotal role in shaping the DIESEL project, from creating music together to aiding Shaq with his set curation, and the release of their collab as part of DIESEL’s album on Monstercat was all but inevitable. Aside from the release of his album this summer, DIESEL will be taking his “Shaq’s Bass All Stars” events to the next level with his first festival, appropriately titled “Shaq’s Bass All Stars Festival,” which will take place on September 16th at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. Shaq will also continue his “SUMMER OF BASS” tour that has already seen highly lauded performances at Electric Forest and Bonnaroo, and continue to entrance audiences worldwide.
